Job description

Who we are:

Amir Defense Group, PC is a boutique law firm specializing in the defense of major domestic and international auto companies in lawsuits involving claims under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, as well as fraud, breach of warranty, violations of the Consumer Legal Remedies Act, and other statutes. The firm represents luxury vehicle brands in state and federal court, as well as in alternative dispute settings such as arbitration and mediation. The firm occasionally handles matters in other areas of law, such as criminal defense, contract, and intellectual property.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking bright attorneys to join our team. Ideal candidates will be creative problem solvers who are not content with doing things others have done just because that is the way it has been done in the past. The firm is all about coming up with the best solutions to a variety of ever-changing problems, even if it has never been tried before. We welcome your contributions. Strong legal research and writing skills are required. Attention to detail is paramount. Ideal candidates will also have a strong desire to learn, take on substantial responsibility, and push themselves to become great attorneys.

Mid-level and junior attorneys, and law school graduates of the class of 2025 are encouraged to apply.

Compensation:

Compensation and benefits are very competitive and not capped by typical market rates for boutique or small firms. Compensation can exceed even that of larger firms and is based on an individual’s performance and ability. The range provided is a base salary, and does not include bonuses or other benefits (which can be substantial).

Work and training:

Attorneys will be given substantive work on all aspects of litigation from inception through trial, and even on appeal in the Ninth Circuit or California Court of Appeal.

Attorneys will quickly learn and develop real litigation skills from drafting legal briefs, conducting and responding to discovery, deposing witnesses and experts, preparing witnesses for testimony, working with automotive engineers and experts, inspecting vehicles, gathering evidence, appearing and arguing in state and federal court at hearings, and assisting with mediation, arbitration, and trials.

Attorneys receive substantial personalized training and unprecedented mentorship in order to become exceptional trial and appellate litigators.

The position is remote, with occasional on-site time in the greater Los Angeles area.

At the time of applying for this position, candidates must submit a resume, cover letter, and law-school transcripts.
