Lateral Link partners with a prestigious Am Law 100 global law firm to hire a mid-level associate for its Litigation & Disputes Practice Group in New York City. Hybrid flexibility is offered.

The role focuses on defending complex class actions and mass torts, with responsibilities spanning pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and appellate briefing. Collaboration with Fortune 500 clients is central to the role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of complex litigation experience in a large law firm or prominent litigation boutique.
• Experience taking/defending fact and expert depositions, and supporting trial teams in state or federal jury trials.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active New York bar admission.
• Exceptional written and oral communication, superior analytical abilities, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Participate directly in defending complex class action and mass tort matters in both state and federal courts.
• Manage and support all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, high-level motion practice, and class certification strategy.
• Take ownership of fact and expert discovery, including regularly taking and defending critical depositions.
• Actively support trial preparation, participate on state/federal jury trial teams, and assist with appellate briefing.
• Interface directly with Fortune 500 clients and contribute meaningfully to strategic decision-making.

The firm is seeking a highly motivated mid-level associate to join their thriving Litigation & Disputes Practice Group, with a focus on class actions and mass torts. The position is based out of the firm's New York City office, offering excellent hybrid flexibility.
