Role Description

An international law firm with a collaborative environment is seeking a full-time Litigation Attorney, based in San Francisco, CA. Responsibilities will include all phases of litigation and arbitration; especially in commercial, maritime, and transportation matters.

Oversee and manage state and federal insurance claims for both pre-litigation and litigation phases; including, assessing and preparing claims, and providing advice and recommendations to third party administrators.

Familiarity with reviewing and analyzing contracts/agreements for indemnity obligations.

Experience in insurance defense or related fields is a preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong academic credentials (J.D. required);
• Between 7 – 10 years of experience practicing in a law firm's litigation group;
• California Bar membership (in good standing) required;
• Experience with taking and defending depositions and handling court proceedings;
• Excellent drafting, writing, research and communication skills
• Interpersonal skills and capability to communicated with defense counsel; both local and across the U.S.
• Exposure to sophisticated disputes and investigations (state and federal);
