Job summary

GPAC in the United States seeks a Civil Litigation Attorney to join a growing litigation practice with a diverse caseload spanning transportation, aviation, construction, HOA, professional liability, and general liability matters.

The successful candidate will own matters from initial evaluation through resolution, with opportunities to develop courtroom and trial experience, collaborate with colleagues, and directly engage with clients and insurers.

Qualifications

• Minimum civil litigation experience; strong research and writing skills.
• Insurance defense experience a plus.
• Ability to independently manage cases and meet deadlines.
• Excellent client-service and communication skills.
• Interest in gaining courtroom and trial experience.
• Licensed to practice in the relevant state; solid standing is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research, factual investigations, and case evaluations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Manage written discovery and expert-related matters.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Develop case strategy and negotiate settlements.
• Communicate directly with clients, insurers, claims professionals, and opposing counsel.
• Appear in state and federal courts as appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, experts, and other litigation professionals.

Our client, a well-established and growing litigation practice, is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its team. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with civil litigation experience who is interested in handling a diverse caseload involving transportation, aviation, construction, HOA/community association, professional liability, and general liability matters.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of cases and work directly with clients from initial evaluation through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
