Job summary

W3Global in New York is seeking an attorney with 2-5 years of litigation experience to handle a diverse caseload from inception through trial as part of a coordinated defense litigation team. The ideal candidate will have general liability and insurance defense experience, strong legal research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative defense group.

Bar admission in NY is required.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
• 2-5 years of litigation experience with a focus on general liability and/or insurance defense.
• Strong research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple cases from inception through trial.
• Attend and conduct depositions of various defendants and products.
• Draft client reports, motions, pretrial disclosures, settlement releases, and other filings.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Prepare for and participate in court conferences, hearings, and motions.
• Argue motions before New York judges and participate in conferences with the Special Master.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, co-counsel, experts, and other litigations professionals.
• Assist with all aspects of case preparation and defense strategy.

The Position

We are seeking an Attorney with 2-5 years of litigation experience to handle a diverse caseload from inception through trial as part of a coordinated defense litigation team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in general liability and insurance defense litigation and possess strong legal research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• 2-5 years of litigation experience
• Experience handling general liability and/or insurance defense matters
• Experience with premises liability, construction, construction defect, New York Labor Law, asbestos, or toxic tort litigation is a plus
• Strong legal research, writing, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative defense team

Key Responsibilities

• Draft client reports, motions, pretrial disclosures, settlement releases, and other legal filings
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
