Express Recruiting Group is assisting a plaintiff-side litigation practice in Encino, CA, to hire a Lemon Law/Consumer Warranty Litigation Associate with 1-3 years of experience on a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite).

You will handle meaningful consumer protection matters, develop litigation skills, and work closely with experienced attorneys. A strong civil litigation background and CA Bar admission are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years civil litigation experience required.
• Active California State Bar in good standing.
• Experience managing cases through discovery, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and client-relations abilities.

Responsabilités

• Manage a caseload of California Lemon Law and consumer warranty matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on litigation and consumer protection issues.
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, corporate reps, and expert witnesses.
• Attend court appearances, case management conferences, mediations and settlement conferences.
• Analyze vehicle repair histories and warranty records for case strategy.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and defense firms.
• Develop case strategy and collaborate with attorneys and staff.
• Maintain regular client communications regarding case developments and strategy.
• Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.

ERG is working with a growing plaintiff-side litigation practice in seeking a Lemon Law / Consumer Warranty Litigation Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join their Encino office. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to handle meaningful consumer protection matters, develop litigation skills, and work closely with experienced attorneys in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in civil litigation and experience managing cases through discovery, depositions, motion practice, and settlement negotiations. Experience with California Lemon Law, consumer warranty, or related consumer protection matters is highly preferred.

• Manage a caseload of California Lemon Law and consumer warranty matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation-related documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on litigation and consumer protection issues.
