People come to this practice after a crash, a fall, or a medical failure has upended their health and finances. This role exists to convert that harm into a clear theory of liability, a documented damages case, and a resolution the client can live with. The attorney who succeeds here does not merely manage files—they decide which cases to take, how hard to push, and when a courtroom is the only honest path.
Performance Objectives
- Evaluate new matters quickly and accept only cases with viable liability, collectible damages, and a path to resolution within firm standards.
- Within 30 days of retention, deliver a written case plan covering liability theory, medical proof, experts, and a value range the team can execute against.
- Build demand packages and discovery records strong enough that carriers engage on full damages, not nuisance value.
- Resolve matters at or above the strategy-conference target through negotiation, mediation, or trial, and try the cases that should not settle.
- Keep every client current at defined milestones so they understand options, risk, timelines, and the recommendation before a decision is made.
- Run deadlines, vendors, and staff so filings, depositions, and expert work happen on schedule without last-minute rescue.
- Earn repeat referrals by delivering results, returning calls, and declining work that does not fit.
Report to the managing attorney, control your hearing and deposition. The practice provides a case-management system, legal research, e-filing, and trial support.
