Responsibilities

• Manage sophisticated commercial litigation from inception through trial and appeal.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions and complex discovery disputes.
• Conduct and defend depositions; oversee discovery strategy.
• Handle court appearances, mediations, arbitrations and trial prep.
• Collaborate with partners and clients on litigation strategy.
• Mentor junior associates and contribute to team development.
• Maintain strong client relationships with strategic, business-focused solutions.

Position Overview:

The client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Attorney / Counsel to join its growing litigation team in Irvine.

The ideal candidate will bring exceptional academic credentials, sophisticated litigation experience, and a strong track record handling complex matters in state and federal courts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage sophisticated commercial litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal
• Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive motions and complex discovery disputes
• Conduct and defend depositions, oversee discovery strategy, and manage case development
• Handle court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
• Collaborate closely with partners and clients on litigation strategy and case management
• Mentor junior associates and contribute to team development
• Maintain strong client relationships while delivering strategic and business-focused legal solutions

Qualifications

• J.D. from a top 50 U.S. law school or AM200 law firm strongly preferred
• 2+ years of complex litigation experience
• Strong background in commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, business disputes, or class actions preferred

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between [$250,000 - $300,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
