Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in California (JD from an accredited law school)
• Experience or strong interest in workers' compensation and/or employment law litigation
• Proficiency in legal research, drafting motions and pleadings, and analyzing complex legal issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and client-facing ability
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with a high-volume caseload
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with partners, clients, claims professionals, and staff
• Experience with case management tools or litigation support software is beneficial
• Prior law firm or clerkship experience in litigation is preferred but not required, with a commitment to ongoing professional development

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload in workers’ compensation and employment law matters
• Perform legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Analyze claims files and advise clients on case strategy and risk
• Appear at hearings, depositions, and conferences
