Qualifications

• 4–12 years of experience in a litigation firm.
• JD from an accredited law school is required.
• Admitted to practice in Illinois.
• Trial experience as First or Second Chair.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage an existing caseload.
• Handle cases from inception to trial.
• First Chair and Second Chair medical negligence trials.
• Attend, take, and defend depositions of witnesses.
• Communicate with clients at all stages of litigation.
• Draft legal documents including complaints, motions, and replies.
• Issue and answer written discovery.
• Attend court appearances, mediations, and hearings.
• Collaborate with the firm’s attorneys to support ongoing development.
