Job summary
A mid-sized law firm is seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join their team in Walnut Creek, California. The role involves handling various litigation matters from inception to resolution, providing hands-on experience in legal strategy, research, and courtroom proceedings. Candidates should have at least 1 year of civil litigation experience, skills in legal research and drafting, and a J.D. degree admitted to the State Bar of California. Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment. Newly licensed attorneys are welcome.
- Experience taking and defending depositions, arguing motions and attending mediations preferred.
- Desire and/or ability to manage caseload independently.
Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of litigation matters involving wrongful death, personal injury, and contract disputes.
- Conduct legal strategy, research, and draft pleadings and motions.
- Argue motions in court and attend mediations and trials.
