Job summary

Wicker Smith O’Hara McCoy & Ford, P.A. is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our litigation teams in the Atlanta Office.

The role targets candidates with 3 to 8 years of experience in transportation and premises liability to handle complex matters in a collaborative, client-focused setting. Responsibilities include managing all phases of litigation, conducting research, drafting pleadings and motions, and representing clients in court, mediations, and arbitrations.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• 3–8 years of experience in Transportation & Premises Liability.
• Active license to practice law in good standing.
• Excellent writing sample and strong advocacy abilities.
• Strong analytical, research and communication skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and deadline discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice and trial preparation.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings and motions.
• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations and arbitrations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel and insurance carriers.
• Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and partners.
