Job summary

Tressler LLP in San Francisco seeks a Litigation Associate to join our Insurance Services and Litigation Groups. The ideal candidate has at least five years of insurance coverage and/or civil litigation experience and will work closely with partners and clients on complex matters.

Responsibilities include analyzing policies, drafting opinions and briefs, managing all phases of litigation, and representing clients in state and federal court or arbitration.

Qualifications

• Active California bar license.
• 5 years of insurance coverage experience and/or civil litigation experience in state or federal court.
• Experience with trial preparation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong interpersonal and advocacy skills.

Role Description

We are seeking an Insurance Coverage and Litigation Attorney to join our San Francisco, California office. Our dynamic Insurance Services Practice Group and Litigation Practice Groups are known for their comprehensive approach to handling matters related to complex insurance claims analysis and representing clients in high-stakes litigation cases.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of insurance coverage and/or litigation experience. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys and clients on complex insurance coverage issues and/or in the defense of litigated matters across multiple lines of insurance.

• Analyzing and interpreting insurance policies, coverage issues, and
• Drafting coverage opinions, legal memoranda and briefs, and advising clients on insurance coverage
• Conducting legal research and preparing memoranda on coverage and litigation
• Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients to develop case
• Handling all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial
• Preparing and responding to written
• Representing clients in coverage
• Defending cases in civil litigation and in binding arbitration proceedings in both state and federal
• Preparing comprehensive written reports to insurance carriers and/or self-insured
• Attending court hearings and oral arguments both remotely and in-
• Taking and defending party, witness, and/or expert
• Preparing for and mediating cases and/or settlement
