Job summary

Smith Debnam seeks a full-time litigation associate to assist in representing businesses in Commercial Litigation, Construction Law, Equipment Leasing & Financing Litigation, Commercial Creditor Bankruptcy, and related Creditors' Rights matters. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience and a NC Bar license in good standing, with strong analytic and writing abilities.

The position requires regular in-office presence in Raleigh, NC, with travel to court appearances statewide.

Qualifications

Two years of experience in Commercial Litigation, Construction Law, Equipment Leasing & Financing Litigation, Commercial Creditor Bankruptcy, or Creditors' Rights.
Ability to analyze complex legal issues and draft precise pleadings and motions.
Strong courtroom and negotiation skills with demonstrated leadership.

Responsibilities

Assist in representing businesses inCommercial Litigation, Construction Law, Equipment Leasing & Financing Litigation, and related matters.
Be regularly present in the Raleigh, NC office, with travel obligations to court appearances across the state (10%–25%).
Support development of a practice and participate in marketing initiatives to grow the firm’s client base.
