Job summary

RRC Solutions Group is seeking an Associate Attorney or Of Counsel for its Employment Litigation Practice Group. This fully remote role requires CA Bar admission and 4+ years of California employment litigation experience, with senior candidates possibly qualifying for Of Counsel (9+ years) and first-chair capabilities.

The attorney will defend employers in a broad range of matters, handle all litigation stages, advise on compliance, and may conduct training on employment topics.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active California Bar Admission in good standing.
• 4+ years of substantive California employment litigation experience (Associate level).
• 9+ years of relevant California employment litigation experience for Of Counsel with first-chair capabilities.
• Experience defending employers in employment litigation matters.
• Experience representing employers in court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative agency matters.
• Class Action and/or PAGA experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills; strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Prior large law firm experience preferred.

• Handle all aspects of litigation including strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial prep.
• Represent employers before state and federal administrative agencies.

• Handle discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage/hour disputes, contract claims, non-compete issues, and class actions.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices to provide strategic, business-oriented legal counsel to clients.

Candidate Profile
