Job summary

Newport Williams is recruiting for a well-established, full-service law firm to join its Manhattan-based Tort & Insurance Defense practice. This full-time associate role offers immediate client exposure and substantive responsibility in personal injury tort and insurance defense litigation.

The candidate must have a J.D. degree, be admitted to the New York Bar, with New Jersey admission a plus, and possess at least 4 years of personal injury tort litigation experience; trial experience is a plus

• Active New York Bar admission required.
• New Jersey Bar admission is a plus.
• 4+ years of personal injury tort litigation experience.
• Trial experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in personal injury tort and insurance defense litigation.
• Manage depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Provide strategic counsel and take ownership of client matters.
• Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies.
• Handle multiple assignments independently with strong attention to detail.
