Greenberg Traurig, LLP in Phoenix is seeking a full-time Associate in the Labor & Employment Practice. This role demands strong litigation experience and significant responsibilities, including managing cases and writing briefs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, membership in the Arizona State Bar, and exemplary interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills. It is a significant opportunity to engage actively in the litigation process.
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for an Associate in the Labor & Employment Practice of our Phoenix office. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package. GT is consistently among the top firms on the Am Law Global 100.
Qualified candidates will possess strong interpersonal, writing, and analytics skills, along with keen attention to detail and the desire and initiative to take ownership. Significant litigation experience is a plus – even if not employment litigation – particularly experience involving day-to-day responsibility on cases. Our practice includes employment class actions, trade secret, and restrictive covenant cases. This is a litigation-intensive role; it is not a consulting position.
The right person will want trial experience (or have it already) and be willing to take depositions, cover hearings, interview witnesses, handle written discovery, and write persuasive briefs. Demonstrable substantive knowledge of basic employment concepts under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and similar federal and state employment laws is strongly preferred.
The position offers the candidate the opportunity to assume significant responsibility. The candidate must have strong academic credentials and references and be a member of the Arizona State Bar or willing to quickly become one.
