Job summary

An established business law firm in Hollywood, FL is hiring a Litigation Attorney to join its busy commercial litigation and insurance defense team. This in-office position requires managing a caseload from inception through resolution, arguing motions, taking depositions, mediations, and drafting complex legal documents.

The candidate must have a Florida Bar license in good standing and strong writing and research skills.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
• Experience in state and federal court practice.
• Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload from inception to resolution.
• Handle insurance defense and commercial litigation; practice in state and federal courts.
• Argue simple and complex motions and hearings.
• Take and defend depositions (party and expert).
• Attend mediation and engage in settlement discussions with opposing counsel and clients.
• Draft complex motions, pleadings, discovery, answers, briefs, etc.
