Job summary

Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP seeks a 2-4 year associate to join its nationally renowned litigation team. You will be immersed in all stages of cases from pre-suit to trial and appeal as part of a seasoned group of attorneys in a vibrant, success-driven environment.

The successful candidate must hold an active Bar License in good standing, possess excellent writing and analytical abilities, and be eager to learn trial skills from a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Active Bar License required (in good standing).
• Excellent writing, analytical and communications skills.
• 2-4 years’ experience in defense litigation; product liability or toxic tort a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Trial preparation, including strategy discussion, discovery, records review, client interviews and witness preparation.
• Research, both legal and of people, businesses, and worksites.
• Drafting of briefs, memos, and client updates.
• Attendance at depositions, hearings, and/or mediations.
