Job summary

The West Palm Beach Office of Wicker Smith O’Hara McCoy & Ford, P.A. is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 2 to 8 years of experience to join our dynamic litigation team.

This position will focus on general liability and professional liability matters, providing a unique opportunity to handle complex cases in a collaborative and client-focused environment. You will manage all aspects of litigation, conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, and represent clients in court

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 2–8 years of experience in general liability and/or professional liability defense.
• Active license in good standing to practice law.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and motions
• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers
• Develop litigation strategies and work closely with senior attorneys and partners
