Job summary

Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz seeks a highly motivated litigation associate for our Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will engage in hands-on responsibility, push outside their comfort zone, and contribute to developing and executing litigation strategies in federal and state courts across the entertainment, media, and IP sectors.

The role requires at least 3 years post-law school experience, California Bar membership, and strong academics.

Qualifications

• Experience in federal and California civil procedure.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, writing and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, pragmatism, judgment and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage deadlines across multiple clients and matters.
• Communicate with clients and colleagues effectively.
• Conduct legal research and analysis and explain complex concepts clearly.
• Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and examine witnesses at trial.
• Prepare persuasive letters, pleadings and motions.
• Draft discovery requests and responses; review documents for case analysis and trial prep.
• Demonstrate comfort in speaking and leading discussions with clients and internally.
• Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.
