Permanent Placements LLC is seeking a Litigation Associate for a nationally recognized law firm in Illinois. The role focuses on consumer financial services, government litigation, and related matters, with opportunities to support labor, employment, and healthcare groups.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of substantive litigation experience, is admitted to the Illinois Bar, and can handle depositions, hearings, and motions in state and federal court.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of substantive litigation experience.
• Active Illinois Bar admission and good standing required.
• Experience handling depositions, mediations, and court hearings.
• Federal court litigation experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to independently manage substantive litigation responsibilities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong professional judgment and commitment to client service.

Responsabilités

• Represent financial institutions and other clients in state and federal court litigation.
• Handle single-plaintiff and class action matters involving consumer financial services and related disputes.
• Manage cases through discovery, depositions, hearings, mediation, and resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery materials, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Participate in depositions and mediation proceedings.
• Attend and assist with court hearings and other proceedings.
• Assist with appellate matters as appropriate.
• Develop litigation strategies with partners and clients.
• Manage multiple matters and deadlines with high client service standards.
