Job summary

Maune Raichle Hartley French & Mudd, LLC in Philadelphia seeks a Litigation Associate to support our asbestos cases on-site. You will learn all aspects of asbestos litigation, including case investigation, discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation, serving as second or third chair with potential to chair cases.

Strong writing, research and client-relations skills are essential; travel is expected up to 30-40% as we work closely with families through challenging times.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited school and bar admission or reciprocity eligibility.
• Strong academic record and superior legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships and manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct case investigations and manage discovery.
• Take and defend depositions; draft and argue motions.
• Prepare cases for trial and assist as second/third chair.
• Coordinate with clients and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel 30–40% to client's homes and other locations as needed.
