The Charleston office of Baker Donelson seeks an associate with two or more years of complex litigation experience to contribute to our Advocacy Department. The role emphasizes active involvement in a federal and state court practice with mentoring from senior litigators.

Candidates should have experience in commercial litigation and employment and/or health care law, excellent written and oral advocacy, and strong analytical skills in deposition, discovery, motion practice, and courtroom

Qualifications

• Two or more years of complex litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility in an active and diverse federal and state court litigation practice.
• Work closely with senior litigators who will provide active mentoring and client contact.
• Two or more years of complex litigation experience.
• South Carolina law license required.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Analytical aptitude with deposition, discovery, motion practice, and courtroom experience.
• Good judgment and attention to detail.
• Experience in commercial litigation.
• Experience in employment and/or health care law.
