Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is hiring an Associate Attorney for its Kansas City litigation practice. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years of civil litigation experience and will work closely with partners, associates, and clients.

The role includes handling complex civil litigation matters, court appearances, and achieving client goals. A Juris Doctor degree is required and admission to practice in Missouri or Kansas is preferred. This position offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in Missouri or Kansas, or willing to be admitted in both states within the first year.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation matters; experience in insurance or commercial litigation preferred.
• Strong academic credentials, judicial clerkship, or law review experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of complex civil litigation matters, including client communications, motions, and discovery responses.
• Participate in court appearances, mediations, and negotiating settlements.
• Take and defend depositions, and draft dispositive motions.
• Manage and respond to rapid deadlines and immediate client needs.
• Work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Interact directly with and achieve the goals of firm clients.

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
