Am Law 100 Firm in San Francisco is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate (3–6 years) to join its Chambers-ranked litigation practice. This role offers exposure to sophisticated, high-stakes matters and meaningful responsibility from day one.

Associates are entrusted with substantive litigation tasks, including drafting motions, taking depositions, managing discovery, and interacting directly with clients, while being mentored by leading partners across the firm.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active California Bar membership or eligible for admission.
• Approximately 3–6 years of commercial litigation experience at a firm.
• Experience handling state and/or federal commercial litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of complex commercial litigation matters.
• Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other substantive filings.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Manage written discovery and e-discovery.
• Conduct legal research and strategic case analyses.
• Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
• Direct client and opposing counsel communications.
• Collaborate across offices on national matters.
