Role Description

The Litigation Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Greenwich, CT. The associate will assist in all phases of criminal and civil litigation, including legal research and analysis, drafting motions and briefs, and preparing pleadings and discovery responses. Day-to-day responsibilities include attending court proceedings, assisting with depositions and witness preparation, and supporting trial strategy development. The role also involves communicating with clients, coordinating with investigators and experts, and managing case files to ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met. The successful candidate will have hands on trial experience, will conduct hearings and depositions, and will obtain exposure to live courtroom activity on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Strong academic credentials a plus.
• Strong foundation in Law, including criminal procedure, evidence, and litigation practice.
• Demonstrated experience drafting Motions, briefs, and other court filings.
• Competent Research and Writing.
• Experience helpful but not necessary: Depositions, including preparation of outlines, exhibits, and witness support.
• Familiarity with Courts at state and federal levels, including rules, procedures, and filing systems.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the Connecticut bar (or eligibility for admission).
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, work under deadlines, and collaborate effectively with a small team.
• Prior litigation or clerkship experience in criminal law or complex investigations is preferred.
