Salary: $83 - $86 per hour

About us:

• This position is remote, but the ideal candidate will live in the D.C., Maryland, or Virginia (DMV) area and must be a US Citizen.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• The senior Appian developer will design and develop the core Appian platform project from end to end, working closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Database, and QA engineers to understand functional and technical requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Facilitate sessions with subject matter experts to gather business data requirements.
• Design and develop Appian applications following user experience principles and standards.
• Ensure project release goals are met, designing scalable solutions that evolve with the product.
• Develop systems that integrate smoothly with existing infrastructure without compromising security.
• Identify opportunities for platform-based solutions to address user challenges and system integration issues.
• Provide technical leadership to agile teams, including assigning work and reviewing deliverables.
• Present and explain technical material to Product Owners and enterprise staff.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of software engineering and development experience.
• Minimum 5 years designing architectural frameworks using industry-standard methodologies and resolving system integration issues.
• Minimum 5 years designing solutions with enterprise business process modeling (BPM) for the Federal Government.
• Minimum 5 years supporting agile development teams.
• Must hold an Appian Senior Developer Certification or higher with advanced knowledge of Appian concepts and tools.
