Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an attorney to manage business and construction litigation matters in our Sacramento office. You will handle depositions, motions, and trial preparation, shaping strategies for client matters and direct client interaction.

We value mentorship, collaboration, and growth, with strong bar requirements and about 2+ years of civil litigation or business transactional experience. A competitive package includes benefits and relocation support.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
• Approximately 2+ years of civil litigation or business transactional experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, communication, and analytical skills.
• Interest in courtroom advocacy, client counseling, and business law.
• Construction litigation or commercial transactions experience is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage business litigation, commercial disputes, and construction litigation matters from initial filing through resolution.
• Take and defend depositions, draft and argue motions, and prepare cases for trial.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, construction agreements, and other business documents.
• Work directly with business owners, contractors, and other clients to develop effective legal strategies.
• Advise clients on business disputes, regulatory compliance, and contractual obligations.
• Take ownership of your matters while collaborating with experienced attorneys on challenging cases.
