A law firm in Kingston, Jamaica seeks an Associate Attorney for a full-time role contributing to the firm’s litigation and general legal practice, with a focus on professional growth and client service.

Responsibilities include managing litigation matters, drafting pleadings and contracts, preparing opinions, attending court hearings, and supporting senior attorneys while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Legal Education (CLE) is required.
• Experience or strong candidate consideration for post-call candidates.
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters and assist in resolving legal disputes for clients.
• Draft pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and reports.
• Attend court for trials, applications, and hearings.
• Provide legal support to senior attorneys and maintain client relationships.
