Overview

You’re ready to move from endless document review on product liability cases to defending Fortune 500 manufacturers in high-stakes MDLs. You want to argue Daubert motions to exclude plaintiffs’ experts, cross-examine medical experts at trial, and gain real courtroom experience rather than staying buried in privilege logs while others get the courtroom exposure.

A top tier AmLaw firm is expanding its elite Product Liability practice in Miami to handle defense work in pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer product litigation. This isn’t a backfill; it’s about adding trial-ready litigators to defend the biggest companies in the most challenging venues nationwide.

What Youll Actually Do

• Independently manage complex product liability cases from investigation through trial
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, treating physicians, and expert witnesses
• Draft and argue dispositive motions, including summary judgment and Daubert challenges
• Handle high-exposure cases involving pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumer products
• Work on multi-district litigation (MDL) and coordinated state court proceedings
• Prepare cases for trial and gain real courtroom experience (second-chair and beyond)
• Develop and work with expert witnesses on causation, warnings, and design defect issues
• Build direct relationships with in-house counsel at major manufacturers

What You Bring

• 3-5 years of complex commercial litigation experience (product liability experience is a major plus)
• Proven deposition and motion practice experience
• Experience in both state and federal courts
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
• Ability to independently manage cases and communicate with clients
• Excellent academic credentials
• Florida bar (or willing to sit)
