Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of complex commercial litigation experience to handle sophisticated disputes through all phases, from pleadings to post-trial matters.

You will draft motions, handle discovery, conduct legal research, participate in depositions, and coordinate with partners and clients on strategy and case management in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with active California Bar membership.
• 4–7 years of complex commercial/general litigation experience.
• Strong drafting of dispositive motions, discovery, pleadings, and memoranda.
• Deposition experience preferred with excellent research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication, case management, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters through all phases, including pleadings, discovery, motions, mediation, trial preparation, and post-trial proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive and non-dispositive motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and discovery requests/responses.
• Conduct legal research, participate in depositions, prepare witnesses, and appear at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and case management conferences.
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness outlines, expert coordination, and development of case strategy.
• Collaborate with partners, clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties to manage complex commercial litigation efficiently.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters through all phases, including pleadings, discovery, motions, mediation, trial preparation, and post-trial proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive and non-dispositive motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and discovery requests/responses.
