A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in Pensacola, FL. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of litigation experience and be admitted to practice in Florida. They will handle various civil litigation matters, including construction, real estate, and professional liability cases.
Duties
- Draft pleadings and related documents for state and federal litigation and arbitration.
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions.
- Manage litigation strategy from inception through discovery and trial.
- Advise clients on legal risks and compliance in litigation and commercial transactions.
- Prepare for and attend mediation, negotiating resolutions of legal disputes.
Requirements
- 1-5 years of litigation experience.
- Experience with case and document management applications such as Everlaw is preferred.
- High level of detail-orientation and exceptional research, writing, and proofreading skills.
- Working knowledge of state and federal litigation processes, including trial procedures, discovery, and document production.
- Ability to work professionally with the court, other attorneys, and opposing counsel.
Education
Law degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
