The Kentucky Bar Association is seeking an associate-level general litigation attorney for its Louisville office. This full-time role entails defending a variety of clients, mandatory 1,800 billable hours, and close collaboration with partners and associates to develop case strategy.
Preferred candidates have 3+ years in state and federal courts, strong writing and analytical abilities, and must be licensed in Kentucky in good standing with the KBA.
This position will perform associate level general litigation work defending a variety of clients. The position is based in our Louisville office, full-time. Billable hour requirement in 1,800. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Draft legal briefs and pleadings; prepare discovery responses; argue motions; legal research and writing; participating in depositions; trial prep, assist with trial and post-trial proceedings; attend mediations; collaborate with partners and other associates to develop and implement case strategy.
Prefer 3+ years of experience practicing in state and federal courts, above average writing and analytical skills; strong attention to detail and organization. Ability to work with other associates, staff and partners. Must be licensed in Kentucky and in good standing with the KBA.
