Job summary

Eastman & Smith Ltd. in Columbus seeks an experienced attorney with 1–2 years of litigation experience to join our Columbus office.

Duties include drafting and filing complaints, motions and other pleadings; collection efforts; court appearances; and developing matters to handle independently. You will work closely with partners on foreclosure matters, including complex commercial foreclosures, and other litigation, including construction and business litigation.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of litigation experience.
• Strong service orientation and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and filing complaints, motions and other pleadings.
• Collection efforts, including judgment debtor examinations, replevins, wage garnishments, bank attachments, hearings, and trials.
• Court appearances on a regular basis.
• Development to handle matters independently.
• Work closely with partners on foreclosure matters, including complex commercial foreclosures.
• Work closely with partners on other litigation matters, including construction and business litigation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, other attorneys, pro se litigants and court staff.

We are seeking an experienced attorney with approximately 1-2 years of litigation experience to join our Columbus office.

• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on other litigation matters, including construction and business litigation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, other attorneys, pro se litigants and court staff.
