Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the foreclosure process is a plus.

This firm provides full-service legal representation to a wide range of financial institutions, including banks, credit unions, mortgage servicers, institutional investors, private firms, and commercial clients. Purpose:

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing litigated matters, particularly defensive litigation involving residential real estate, property title, mortgages, and foreclosure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong advocacy skills and be experienced in all phases of civil litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of contested litigation related to mortgage servicing and/or foreclosure
  • Oversee pre-litigation matters and assist in resolving title issues
  • Provide case analysis and legal strategy recommendations to clients
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct discovery, including depositions
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and court appearances
  • Perform other legal duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
  • 28 years of litigation experience in real estate or mortgage servicing preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to meet a billing requirement of approximately 1920 hours annually
  • Familiarity with the foreclosure process is a plus

  • Salary range: $90,000 $110,000 annually
