Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of complex litigation, from inception to resolution, including trial preparation and trial support.

  • Prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, and supporting briefs for insurance coverage litigation.
  • Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
  • Proactively manage matters, deadlines, and client communication.

Job description

Clyde & Co US LLP is seeking a litigation attorney to join our growing Seattle office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-exposure litigation matters alongside a collaborative team of experienced trial lawyers in one of the firm's fastest-growing offices.

This practice handles a diverse mix of sophisticated litigation, including high-value commercial disputes, insurance coverage litigation, and bad faith litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in all phases of complex litigation from case inception through resolution, including trial preparation and trial support.
  • Collaborate directly with partners and clients on case strategy and litigation management.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda.
  • Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation.
  • Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
  • Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and communication with clients.
Required Qualifications
  • Possesses excellent academic credentials.
  • Is admitted to practice in WA and in good standing with the bar.
  • Has excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
  • Has strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Has the ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time‑sensitive matters.
  • Has effective problem‑solving skills.
  • Has the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Has an interest in insurance coverage and coverage litigation matters.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $200,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
