A leading law firm in San Francisco is seeking a 3rd – 4th year associate to join its Litigation Group. The role involves managing complex litigation matters and collaborating with a collegial team. Ideal candidates will have a JD, strong academic credentials, and excellent communication skills. The firm values professional growth and client service excellence.
Position Summary:
Pillsbury is seeking a 3rd – 4th year associate to join the San Francisco Litigation Group. In short, this associate will be litigating, managing and trying complex matters, and working in a busy, collegial litigation group focused on expanding its strong practice.
This new associate will be slotted into existing and new litigation matters, where responsibilities will include working with other associates and partners, work in support of and developing and executing case strategies and plans, handling all aspects of litigation (fact investigation, drafting pleadings and
motions, discovery, pretrial and trial work), and developing and maintaining strong business and client relationships. Litigation types include antitrust and unfair competition; construction and insurance recovery; labor and employment; product liability; white collar/investigations; higher education litigation; and general commercial litigation.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate is required to have a bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctorate degree (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school with excellent academics and be a member of the California State Bar in good standing. Finally, previous or current employment with an Am Law 100 firm is desired.

The successful candidate must have strong academic credentials, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must have superior oral advocacy and oral presentation, research and writing, analytical, organizational and time management skills; and must have excellent judgment and decision-making skills. Just as importantly, the candidate must be committed to developing and growing their practice and career, their network and their expertise in a fast-paced and exciting group that provides the highest level of client service.

California Pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skillset and experience, is $260k - $310k.
