Job summary

Platinum Legal Search Group, LLC, a boutique litigation firm, seeks an associate with 3–10+ years of litigation experience in products liability or toxic tort. This role offers substantive, courtroom-driven work—not document review—across New York and New Jersey.

You will take depositions, draft motions, coordinate experts, and assist senior trial lawyers on strategy and trial preparation, with remote or hybrid flexibility.

We are representing a high-caliber litigation boutique with a nationally respected practice. The firm defends manufacturers, distributors, insurers, and corporate defendants in complex products liability and toxic tort litigation across state and federal courts nationwide.

This is an opportunity for an associate seeking substantive litigation experience — not document review — within a platform deeply involved in deposition practice, expert-driven litigation, dispositive motions, and trial strategy in sophisticated product liability matters.

The Practice

The firm’s products liability and toxic torts group handles high-stakes litigation involving:

• Products liability defense
• Toxic tort and exposure-related claims
• Catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters
• Insurance-backed defense of manufacturers and distributors
• Multi-defendant state court litigation and federal proceedings
• Complex discovery, expert testimony, and scientific/medical causation issues

The team is known for securing dismissals, summary judgment victories, and favorable resolutions through aggressive motion practice, technical analysis, and strategic litigation management.

Associates receive meaningful responsibility and direct exposure to strategy, depositions, expert coordination, and courtroom work from early on.

What You’ll Do

You will play a hands-on role in active products liability matters, including:

• Taking and defending fact, corporate, and expert depositions
• Drafting motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, and complex discovery papers
• Working directly with senior trial lawyers on litigation strategy and defense development
• Managing cases across New York, New Jersey, and other jurisdictions
