Job summary

LawFirms is seeking two Commercial Litigation Associates (2+ YOE) for a full-time onsite role in Greensboro, Raleigh, or Charlotte, NC. The positions involve high-stakes commercial work, meaningful courtroom experience, and a culture that respects time.

You will handle complex commercial litigation matters, draft essential documents, and manage discovery while developing case strategy and taking increasing ownership of matters. A strong background in related complex litigation is valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Commercial litigation experience preferred but other complex litigation experience considered.
• Strong research, writing, discovery, and motion practice skills.
• Deposition and trial preparation experience is a plus.

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive litigation documents.

• Assist with trial preparation and trial work, depending on experience.

A premier, award-winning North Carolina litigation boutique is seeking two Commercial Litigation Associates (2+ YOE) to join its highly regarded practice. This position is based full-time onsite in Greensboro, Raleigh, or Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial litigation matters from case inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive litigation documents
• Manage discovery, conduct legal research, and develop case strategy
• Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Work directly with experienced attorneys and clients while taking increasing ownership of matters
• Assist with trial preparation and trial work, depending on experience

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation experience
• Commercial litigation experience is preferred, but attorneys from other complex litigation practices are encouraged to apply
• Background in product liability, catastrophic loss, construction, mass tort/asbestos, transportation, insurance or other complex litigation can translate well to the role
• Strong legal research, writing, discovery, and motion practice skills
• Deposition and trial preparation experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a desire to build a substantive, long-term litigation career

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $180,000 and $220,000+. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

(Additional discretionary performance bonuses range from $5,000 to $15,000+, alongside occasional spot bonuses for high billable accomplishments or exceptional achievements).
