Job summary

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to New York State Bar in good standing.
• 0–2 years of litigation experience, with interest in property insurance, antitrust, and subrogation.
• Experience with discovery, dispositive motions, and depositions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation from inception to disposition, including pleadings, discovery, pre-trial work, trial, post-trial and appeal work.
• Conduct discovery, prepare clients for depositions, and defend depositions.
• Develop litigation strategies and draft dispositive motions and briefs in complex matters.
• Handle property insurance litigation, including investigation, negotiation, and trial prep.
• Work on antitrust cases, including research and document preparation.
• Engage in subrogation matters, pursuing recovery opportunities.
• Provide legal counsel to clients and keep them informed about options.
• Maintain professional growth through seminars, workshops, and in-house CLEs.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation from inception to disposition, including drafting pleadings, discovery, pre-trial preparations, trial, post-trial and appeal work.
• Conduct thorough and detailed discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, preparing clients for depositions, and conducting and defending depositions.
• Actively participate in the development and execution of litigation strategies, and prepare dispositive motions and briefs in a variety of complex litigation matters.
• Handle property insurance litigation cases, including thorough investigation, negotiation, settlement, and trial preparation.
• Work on antitrust cases, including research, analysis, and preparation of legal documents.
• Engage in subrogation matters, with a focus on identifying and pursuing recovery opportunities.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients, ensuring their legal rights are protected and that they are fully informed about their legal options.
• Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest developments in law and in the legal industry.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and good standing with the NY Bar.
• Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in litigation, with interest in property insurance litigation, antitrust, and subrogation.
• Proven experience with discovery, dispositive motions, and depositions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle large amounts of complex information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal strategies and concepts clearly and persuasively.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
