Mendes & Mount LLP is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to support partners and attorneys in the Litigation department. This role is a great opportunity for someone with law firm administrative assistant experience who enjoys working closely with attorneys.

The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a legal administrative assistant in a law firm.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents for busy litigation matters.
  • Assist with timesheets and reports for attorneys.
  • Handle word-processing for pleadings, discovery, depositions, letters, briefs, and memos.
  • Prepare and format Excel spreadsheets and organize case files.
  • Edit and finalize pleadings, including table of contents and table of authorities.
  • Screen calls and route inquiries; type and proofread documents.
  • Prepare new case forms and email new case openings.
  • Enter time in 3E and prepare check requests.
  • Prepare Amex and out-of-pocket statements; organize binders and maintain filing systems.
  • Photocopying and general administrative duties.
