Job summary

SME Careers, a fast-growing AI Data Services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, seeks a Lithuanian Language Expert for an hourly remote contractor role. You will review AI-generated Lithuanian content and create high-quality reference content, evaluating language quality and providing precise feedback.

You will assess outputs for accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, and cultural appropriateness; write rewrites and model answers, and rate AI responses to drive improvements across domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in linguistics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Native or near-native Lithuanian proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong professional proficiency in English (C1) to provide feedback in English.
• 3+ years in writing, editing, localization, translation, or related language work.
• Deep understanding of Lithuanian grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
• Ability to explain errors and fixes clearly.
• Experience with multiple registers and audience adaptation.
• Attention to detail to spot subtle meaning shifts and errors.
• Remote hourly contractor with time-zone flexibility.
• Experience in AI data training/annotation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI Training Content: prompts and gold-standard Lithuanian answers across domains.
• Optimize AI Performance: evaluate and rank outputs for fluency, tone, terminology, and cultural appropriateness.
• Ensure Model Integrity: detect unsafe content, hallucinations, bias, mistranslations, ambiguity, and cultural issues.
