Job summary

Sandy Alexander is seeking an experienced Lithographic Platemaker to join our prepress team. The candidate will produce high-quality printing plates for sheetfed and/or web offset presses and review files for accuracy before plating.

Responsibilities

• Review files and job specifications for accuracy before plating.
• Perform imposition, trapping, and prepress production tasks as required.
• Verify plates for registration, pagination, bleeds, marks, and other production specifications.
• Work closely with the prepress and press departments to ensure jobs are produced accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain quality standards and meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a lithographic platemaking/prepress environment preferred.
• Knowledge of imposition software is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot production issues.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Reliable and committed to producing quality work.

Imposition software experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are more important than knowing every aspect of the job on day one.
