Job summary

Resource Label Group is seeking a Litho Offset Sheetfed Press Support, 2nd Shift to join our Production Team. You will assist Press Operators by feeding the press, keeping inks and water full, and helping with maintenance and training as needed.

The role requires a background in manufacturing, sheet feeder exposure, and a commitment to safety and quality standards in an ISO environment. You will stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Two years in a manufacturing environment; printing/packaging preferred.
• 6+ months in a sheet feeder or press helper role.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math and read rulers and measurement devices.
• Must ensure proper stock is staged for each job.
• Must be able to stand throughout shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Dexterous, repetitive hand and finger movements required.

Responsibilities

• Follows guidance and direction from Press Operator.
• Understands and complies with ISO quality requirements and written procedures.
• Follows daily schedule for workload and communicates problems or concerns to Press Operator, assisting in resolutions in a timely manner.
• Checks cutting slip to verify stock count; communicates discrepancies to supervisor.
• Ensures make-ready times and materials used are minimized through proper planning.
• Maintains knowledge of safety requirements and familiar with material safety data sheets.
• Wears appropriate safety protection when using or handling chemicals and ensures proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
• Maintains a high level of monitoring print quality to eliminate inspection delays and redo's.
• Performs preventative maintenance on press components such as lubrication and minor adjustments.
• Assists in other departments as needed when workload permits.
• Keeps work areas clear and organized; maintains housekeeping standards.
• Performs other duties as requested.
