Job summary

Resource Label Group is seeking a Litho Finishing Helper to join the Production Team. You will assist Press Operators by operating the feeder, keeping inks and water full, and aiding with maintenance and training on the press as needed.

The role requires basic reading of safety and operation manuals, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a high school diploma or GED. Prior manufacturing or printing/packaging experience is preferred; we offer growth opportunities and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination accepted.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate the feeder and keep the press running; ensure inks and water are full.
• Assist with maintenance and training on the press as needed.
• Follow guidance from the Press Operator and daily workload schedules.
• Minimize make-ready times and materials used through proper planning.
• Maintain safety knowledge and proper handling of hazardous chemicals.
• Maintain print quality and assist with housekeeping and safe procedures.

We are currently recruiting for a Litho Finishing Helper to join our Production Team! This role will assist the Press Operators by operating the feeder and consistently keeping the press running, keeping the inks and water full during operation and assisting with maintenance and training on the press as needed.

• Follows guidance and direction from Press Operator.
• Understands ISO and complies with written procedures.
• Follows daily schedule for workload and communicates problems or concerns, assisting in resolutions in a timely manner.
• Checks cutting slip to verify count of stock is accurate prior to running, communicates discrepancies to supervisor.
• Ensures make-ready times and materials used are minimized through proper planning of work.
• Maintains knowledge of safety requirements of the job and equipment; becomes familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets regarding chemicals in use.
• Wears appropriate safety protection when using or mixing chemicals and ensures proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
• Maintains a high level of print quality to eliminate inspection delays and redo's.
• Performs preventative maintenance on press such as lubrication, replacement of small parts, cleaning and minor adjustments.
• Assists in other departments as needed and when work load permits.
• Keeps work areas clear and organized; maintains housekeeping standards.
• Performs other duties as requested.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• One year of experience in a manufacturing environment, printing or packaging industry experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Ability to read and interpret ruler, scales and other measurement devices.
• Must insure proper stock is used for each job.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand at a workstation for duration of shift.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance
