Job summary

Albemarle is looking for a skilled Lead Metallurgist in Kings Mountain to manage all processes from ROM pad to the DMS separation plant.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of metallurgical experience, lead the implementation and optimization of processes, and ensure production quality in lithium concentrate. Responsibilities also include developing training programs, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive metallurgical experience.
• Experience in designing and reviewing metallurgical test programs.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in concentrator operation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement metallurgical accounting for the site.
• Support ore characterization and understand its impact on plant design.
• Oversee the metallurgical research and development program.

Advanced knowledge in mineral processing
