Job summary

Panasonic Energy in De Soto, Kansas, seeks a Skilled Machine Technician – Level 1 (SMT-1) to operate high-speed lithium-ion battery production equipment in a clean-room setting. You will assist with basic maintenance, ensure product quality, and support documentation and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED or 2 years of experience in the functional area.
• 0-1 years of prior experience in the functional area.
• Proficient in English language for reading, writing and verbal communication.
• Must comply with PPE requirements and physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated high-speed lithium-ion battery production machines in a clean-room environment.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure continuous production.
• Document end-of-shift production data and reports.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
• Adhere to 6S, safety policies, and environmental health standards.
