Job summary

Ampact is seeking a Coaching Specialist to advance student literacy and numeracy through expert coaching, on-site support, and data-driven guidance aligned to Reading Corps and Math Corps models.

You will partner with schools, observe instruction, review data for fidelity, and lead data-based teams to plan targeted interventions that maximize student outcomes while expanding program impact and equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience in primary/secondary education with knowledge of school structures.
• Experience in Pre-K and/or Kindergarten.
• Strong relationship-building, consultation, and feedback skills.
• Experience using literacy/numeracy assessments and MTSS data-driven instruction.
• Ability to facilitate adult learners through training and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical coaching to tutors at assigned schools to ensure program fidelity and progress.
• Collaborate with school staff to identify students for targeted intervention and build schedules.
• Review program data for completeness and accuracy and monitor progress.
• Lead data-based decision-making teams to review data and plan interventions.
• Maximize program impact by helping staff understand the program's purpose and resources.
• Foster positive relationships with partnering sites and advocate for program impact.
• Inspire school leaders by sharing data in accessible ways to drive efficacy.
• Other duties as assigned.
