About the Property

The Wigwam is a Four Diamond property with 331 guest rooms spanning across 440 acres. Located in the Litchfield Park community, AZ, The Wigwam is a renowned Arizona landmark, offering an authentic Arizona experience.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, driven individuals with a great attitude and a passion for excellence to join us as Chef de Cuisine at Litchfield’s Restaurant, one of the area's most beloved dining destinations. This role is more than a chef position—it’s an opportunity to help shape the future of a restaurant poised to become a premier dining destination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the “Face” of the restaurant in the hotel and community.
• Create, cost, and implement seasonal and special menus.
• Attract, retain, and mentor the best culinary talent.
• Complete daily ordering using current par levels for the restaurant.
• Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to exceed guest expectations.
• Train the restaurant culinary and operations team on the menu and daily specials.
• Conduct daily walk‑throughs of the kitchen, make recommendations for corrections, repairs, cleanliness concerns, and improvements as needed.
• Conduct daily meetings with the team to ensure their preparation and communicate all pertinent information.
• Attend weekly F&B meetings, leadership meetings, and monthly safety meetings representing the culinary team.
• Be an exemplar that the culinary team follows.
• Manage costs related to the restaurant, analyze, and control costs to achieve a profitable operation.
• Have thorough knowledge of food allergens and handle any guest with food allergies with a high sense of urgency.
• Work with the culinary team to ensure prep sheets are updated and properly used daily.
• Guide the nightly cleaning of all kitchen areas and follow up with the stewarding crew to ensure dish area is clean and organized for the following day's service.

Qualifications

• Passionate about developing a culinary team.
• Flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
• Experience as a cook in a high‑volume professional kitchen with leadership capacity.
• Full knowledge of the state’s health codes and eco‑sure food safety and health report.
• Active Food Handler’s certification or willingness to obtain needed certifications.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Desire to exceed expectations.
• Energetic personality.

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location.
